Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 30, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how mcpvillage (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website hosting service (the “Service”).
A note on roles. For your account, we are the data controller. For the content you publish and the information your site collects from your visitors (for example, form submissions and analytics about your visitors), you are the controller and we act as a processor on your behalf — you are responsible for your own privacy notice and lawful basis. See “Sites you host” below.
1. Information We Collect
Account information. When you sign up we collect your email address and, if you sign in with Google, your name and the email associated with your Google account. Sign-in is passwordless (a one-time email code or Google sign-in); we do not store passwords.
Your content. The pages, text, images, and settings you create through the Service.
Billing information. If you purchase a paid plan, our payment processor collects and processes your payment details. We do not store full card numbers; we receive limited information such as billing status and the last digits of your card.
Usage and technical data. Log data such as IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps, and error data, used to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the Service.
Analytics for your site. We collect basic analytics about visits to sites you host — such as page views, referrers, and approximate location (country, region, and city) derived from the visitor’s IP address using a geolocation database — to give you simple visitor statistics.
Form submissions. Information that visitors submit through forms on your site, collected and stored on your behalf.
2. How We Use Information
We use information to provide, maintain, and improve the Service; authenticate you and secure accounts; process payments and renewals; provide support; send service and transactional messages (such as sign-in codes and important notices); monitor, prevent, and investigate abuse, fraud, and security incidents; and comply with legal obligations.
3. Your AI Assistant
You connect your own third-party AI assistant (such as Claude, OpenAI, Grok, or Kimi) to build and edit your site. When you instruct that assistant, your content and instructions are processed by that third party under its own terms and privacy policy. We are not responsible for your AI provider’s handling of your data; please review its privacy policy.
4. Cookies
We use a single, essential first-party cookie to keep you signed in to the control panel. Our visitor analytics are first-party and do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
5. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only:
- with service providers who help us run the Service (for example, our cloud hosting and network/CDN provider, our transactional email provider, our payment processor, and our IP-geolocation data provider), bound to protect it and use it only to provide services to us;
- to comply with law, legal process, or lawful requests, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of mcpvillage, our users, or others;
- in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
6. Sites You Host (Visitor Data)
When your site collects information from its visitors — through forms or analytics — you are the controller of that information and we process it for you. You are responsible for telling your visitors what you collect and why, obtaining any required consent, and responding to requests from your visitors. If a visitor to a hosted site contacts us about their data, we will refer them to the site owner.
7. Data Retention
We keep account and content data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. After account closure we may retain data for a reasonable period for backup, legal, security, and accounting purposes, then delete or anonymize it. Backups are rotated and overwritten over time.
8. Security
We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect information, including encryption in transit (TLS), access controls, and isolating sensitive operations from public-facing systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. International Transfers
We operate the Service from servers in the United States and may process information there and in other countries where our providers operate. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.
10. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these, contact us at [email protected]. For information your site collects about its visitors, please contact the relevant site owner.
11. Children
The Service is not directed to children and is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post changes here with a new “last updated” date and, where appropriate, notify you.
13. Contact
